Role Overview

As Legal Counsel – EPC and O&M, you will handle complex legal and contractual matters within the renewable energy sector. Your expertise in drafting, negotiating, and ensuring compliance for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and O&M (Operation and Maintenance) agreements will support Scatec’s global projects, contributing to our vision of delivering sustainable energy solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate EPC, subcontract, and O&M agreements for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, P2X).
  • Prepare equipment supply contracts and oversee performance security agreements.
  • Review and align financing loan documentation with EPC and O&M terms.
  • Manage compliance with supply chain regulations, including forced labor concerns and supplier integrity reports.
  • Represent Scatec in arbitration matters related to EPC and O&M agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regional legal teams, suppliers, and lenders.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to internal teams on claims, disputes, and contractual notices.
  • Maintain and update legal templates for EPC, subcontract, and O&M agreements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Law degree specializing in common law.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in-house or within a law firm.
  • Proven expertise in EPC and O&M contracts within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong commercial drafting and document review skills.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Key Traits: Strong communicator, proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, team player, and adaptable.
