About the Company:

Our client is a scaling developer of cross-technology renewable and low-carbon energy projects, backed by a leading financial institution. They aim to establish Green Energy Hubs across the UK, integrating multiple technologies around a single grid connection.

The Opportunity:

As a Renewable Energy Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead the consenting process for NSIP-scale solar PV & BESS projects from inception to submission, examination, and determination.
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team of specialist consultants.
  • Coordinate with planning, environment, legal, and stakeholder consultation teams.
  • Ensure project documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the team to ensure coordinated efforts.
  • Handling consultation processes with local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the DCO application drafting, compilation, and submission.
  • Managing the relationship with the Planning Inspectorate.
  • Monitoring project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Collaborating with internal teams on grid connection and land matters.
  • Optimizing the project through each phase for timely submission.

Skills and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you need:

  • Initiative, a ‘can-do’ attitude, and excellent communication skills.
  • A successful track record in project management with complex stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading planning processes for large infrastructure projects.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • Professional qualifications or memberships in relevant fields (Planning, Environment, Project Management, Engineering).
