Key Responsibilities
🔹 Solar Maintenance & Repair
✔ Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting & repairs on solar panels, inverters & battery storage systems.
✔ Use SCADA, Maximo & SAP software to monitor performance & initiate work orders.
✔ Maintain inventory, documentation & site reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
🔹 High Voltage & Safety Compliance
✔ Coordinate high-voltage switching activities with local utilities & ISO operators.
✔ Follow OSHA safety protocols & conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
✔ Execute substation operations, lockouts & grounding procedures.
🔹 Field Operations & Emergency Response
✔ Work independently onsite with support from technicians & site managers.
✔ Participate in on-call rotations for outages & emergencies.
✔ Travel as needed to other solar plants for emergency support.
What You’ll Bring
🎯 Required Qualifications
✔ 2+ years diploma in a technical program (AC/DC electrical theory, blueprints, schematics, industrial electrical equipment).
✔ 2+ years of experience in solar energy, wind generation, mining, or industrial maintenance.
✔ Willing to obtain AVO Substation Technician Certification within 12 months of hire.
✔ Ability to travel & comply with safety policies (Valid U.S. driver’s license required).
✔ Reside within 50 miles of the Chillingham Solar Site (Temple, TX region).
💡 Strong technical knowledge & ability to work in outdoor conditions is required!
